PowerPole Connectors

Anderson PowerPole connectors have become the de-facto standard for powering amateur radio gear. Quality is great, and it makes it easy to get on the air.

Most folks use red for positive, and black for negative. I use yellow & black to differentiate solar connectors. For 12v battery connections, you need 2 housings and 2 contacts for each connector.

Tools

Crimping ToolThese kind of cheapo crimpers aren’t fantastic but if you take your time, they do the trick.
Contact ToolMakes it slightly easier to remove PowerPole contacts from housings.
PowerPole SleevesA bit of a pain to use (I make a small slit with side cutters, then jam the wire through).
